I just wanted to thank you for pulling together such a great list of diverse projects. And a special thanks for including OrbMi. I am the co-founder of the project, and it honestly means a GREAT deal to me personally to see our selection on this list.

We are just two makers trying to balance our day jobs, friends/family, and a dream with this project in our “free time” for the past year.

I also wanted to add a note to the other independent makers out there. There are always going to be bigger and better funded companies…but if you have an idea… and can avoid burning yourself with a soldering gun in your garage, which is NOT that easy….you can make. When you make, you innovate. When you innovate…well that is just a pretty good end on it’s own. Any idea you have that you start is a great idea. It’s a very exciting time to be a maker. Good luck to the projects on this list, and good luck to the projects that soon will be.
